STUDIO/BOOKING POLICIES

BOOKING POLICIES

  • A 50% deposit is required to book and schedule studio time.  The remaining balance is due in full the day of your session before the session begins. – no exceptions. 

  • If your session is only one hour, the full $75 is required for deposit.

  • Certain special or discounted packages set up by the Studio Manager will require payment in full at the time of booking. 

  • All studio time officially booked on our calendar MUST be used within the time allotted. If technical difficulties do occur (which does sometimes happen), it is at the managements discretion to reschedule or provide unused hours in the future. If our equipment stops working, that’s not your fault, we will stop the time and you won’t be charged.

  • Studio time that has been purchased must be used within 24 months of payment. Some "special offers" require use of paid studio time 12 months after date of purchase. 

  • Training Programs that have been purchased in full or have payment plans must be delivered within 12 months of initial payment. 

  • We do not take nor do we work with clients under 16. If you are over 16 but under the age of 18, we require that a parent/guardian contact us for scheduling of a consultation before any work will be done in the studio. Parents/guardians must be present at all times during sessions. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • All payments are final and non-refundable. 


RESCHEDULING POLICIES

  • Please notify Management 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. 

  • If you notify Management to reschedule in LESS than 48 hours, the initial 50% deposit is forfeited. This action is required to prevent the loss of re-booking the Studio and the Engineer to another Client. Money spent beyond the initial 50% deposit that is not used, can go toward future studio time or bookings.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

  •  If for any reason you need to cancel your studio time completely, please notify management immediately. For all cancellations, the initial 50% deposit is forfeited and non-refundable - no exceptions. 


TARDINESS POLICIES

  • Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose sessions follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your engineer will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start the session. 

  • Session start time begins at the scheduled time even if the artist is not present.  
     


Out of respect and consideration to your engineer and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.


MINIMUM PURCHASE REQUIREMENT: 

North Heart Music Group LLC requires a minimum purchase of one hour. We do not allow purchases of half hours even if you have credited time. 


REVISION POLICY: 

3 revisions free of charge are included in the flat rate prices. (i.e., edits to the mix/master) Any other revisions are $30 per revision. Revisions do not include re-recording. If we’re already in the mixing stage and you decide something must be re-recorded, you can pay the 75$ hourly rate for re-recording and then use any left-over time from that hour to work on revisions if you so choose. The same applies to Mastering. If we’ve already started mastering your song and you wish to change mix elements, you must pay the hourly rate to go back in and make those adjustments.


STEM BOUNCING/UPLOADING/PROJECT TRANSFER/GENERAL WORK POLICY: 

North Heart Music Group LLC charges $50 flat for all of the following: bouncing stems or track outs, emailing, transferring projects to other studios, etc.. 


WORK FOR HIRE AGREEMENTS: 

North Heart Music Group LLC will draft and sign work for hire agreements upon request for a fee. North Heart Music Group LLC charges a fee of $100 for each work for hire agreement signed per song or $350 for an EP or $750 for an album.
